Kylie Waltman

Empathy Engineer / Positivity Pilot / Care Access Coordinator

I bring a welcoming presence and a strong blend of academic training, hands-on experience, and genuine care to our team. In my role, I support clients by answering phones, coordinating intakes, and managing insurance and billing, helping ensure each person’s experience is smooth, supportive, and well organized from the start.

I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Liberty University.  I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, where I graduated with honors and developed a deep understanding of the complexities of the human mind. My passion for compassionate, ethical care led me to continue working directly with clients at 616 Counseling, where I’m committed to creating an environment rooted in safety, understanding, and respect.

Prior to this role, I worked as a psychiatric technician, including serving as a shift lead. That experience strengthened my ability to balance empathy with clinical awareness while supporting both clients and colleagues in fast-paced, emotionally demanding settings. My goal has always been to help foster a space where people feel supported, understood, and empowered in their personal growth.

Outside of work, I’m an avid reader of nonfiction, especially psychology related books and articles. I’m happiest when I’m moving or outdoors, whether that’s soccer, pickleball, hiking, weight lifting, or swing dancing. I’m also a big fan of the Detroit Lions and Red Wings.  I achieved a bucket-list dream by hiking in the mountains out west this summer!

I’m a proud dog lover with three pups—Finley (5-year-old Havanese), Theo (2-year-old Havanese), and Sophie (15-year-old Shih Tzu/Maltese). In my downtime, I enjoy exercise, outdoor activities, reading, and crocheting. I bring the same energy, curiosity, and commitment to excellence to my work that I do to every other area of my life.
