Katie Van Drie LLMSW
CLINICAL SOCIAL WORKER
"Change is not instant—it’s incremental."
The best advice I’ve ever received is this: Sometimes people aren’t able to be the people we needed them to be, and that is not our fault. This perspective shapes how I approach therapy—helping clients release self-blame, process their past, and take small, meaningful steps toward healing.
What inspires me most is being there for the “ah-ha” moments—when something clicks, and a client sees themselves, their relationships, or their future in a new light. I am patient, persistent, and outgoing, and I work especially well with teens who may be hesitant to open up at first. Seeing that moment of trust build is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
I have a passion for supporting biracial teens and interracial couples, bringing understanding of the unique community, language, and cultural dynamics that may shape their experiences. My goal is to create a safe, affirming space where clients can explore their identities, improve communication, and navigate challenges without judgment.
Outside the office, you’ll often find me with my horses, spending time outdoors and recharging in nature. I’m also an avid reader and love diving into a good book. Whether in therapy or in life, I believe growth comes one step at a time, and I’m here to walk alongside my clients through each step of their journey.
